NJ Moratorium Moves Closer

I spent the day Monday sitting in the New Jersey General Assembly watching it vote on bill after bill. Shortly after the very last bit of sunlight disappeared from view on the east bank of the Delaware River in Trenton our bill, the DP study and moratorium bill came up. The final vote was almost anticlimatic. Before anyone realized the vote hit the 40 votes needed to carry the bill, then 50, and finally 55 voting yes, 21 voting no, with two abstentions. Approximately 40% of the republicans in the chamber appear to have joined in the yes vote which is why it ended up moving and passing. Congrats to all those who helped make this happen.
